“Every year we have hundreds of companies that complete our survey and hope to make our coveted list. This year was no exception,” said Washington Business Journal Publisher Alex Orfinger. “This year was also an exceptionally hard year to make our list. The 75 companies on our list navigated a pandemic and economic downturn and still managed to see a revenue growth between 2018 and 2020. This was no easy feat.”

The Journal list is based on average percent year-over-year revenue growth from 2018, 2019, and 2020. Participating companies must be headquartered in the D.C. area, and were required to have more than $2 million in revenue in 2018 and more than $10 million in revenue in 2020 to qualify.

ShorePoint Awarded $300 Million U.S. Department of Education Cybersecurity BPA

Washington, DC – July 28, 2021

ShorePoint Inc., a cybersecurity services company that protects customers’ critical assets from cyber threats, today announced it was awarded a five-year $300 million blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to provide cybersecurity and support services to the U.S. Department of Education (DoED) Office of Federal Student Aid.

Other areas of support covered by the contract include cybersecurity risk management and compliance; information systems security services; cybersecurity operations; software capability operations and maintenance; security architecture support; security engineering; and continuous diagnostics and mitigation.
