Ryan brings over 20 years of IT and cybersecurity solution experience and a strong background in a broad variety of security enabling technologies and tools in the ever-evolving cyber marketplace. McCullough most recently served as Senior Vice President at Govplace having developed and evolved that organization’s Federal strategy since 2007. As a leader through that company’s aggressive growth trajectory, Ryan held positions that included oversight and leadership for everything from sales, business development and capture, to engineering, program management and service delivery. Through his tenure, Ryan has led a variety of successful strategic efforts in support of multiple federal agencies resulting in delivery of over $1B in IT products and services as well as contract awards totaling more than $70B in value. Prior to Govplace, Ryan spent 10 years at GTSI (now Unicom) where he supported several agencies through the development and positioning of programs and solutions to achieve defined business and operational objectives.
Ryan is a recipient of the prestigious Rising Star Award (2009) presented by 1105 Media which honors men and women who have made an early and substantive mark on the government IT world. The award recognized his success in driving innovation in solution delivery to enable positive business outcomes for government customers through performance based engagement. He is a graduate of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) Voyagers Program for leadership development and industry/government collaboration. He is active in numerous industry associations such as ACT-IAC and served on partner advisory councils of major manufacturers such as Dell/EMC, Forescout, HP, and others.
Ryan graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree specializing in Government and Politics. Ryan currently resides in Ashburn, VA with his wife Katie and their 2 children. Ryan is deeply committed to coaching his children and supporting youth sports and athletics in general. Ryan also recently joined the Board of Directors for Dulles Little League. When not working… Ryan can generally be found competing… at something… anything. Beyond family and work, he has passions for baseball (coaching/watching/playing), college sports (Go Terps), travel and food (cooking… but mostly eating). He also enjoys skiing, boating and helping colleagues and friends to create truly memorable… and sometimes unbelievable… stories.
