Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Matt is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for ShorePoint and is responsible for establishing strategic business goals and enabling the workforce for success. Matt brings over 20 years of IT and cybersecurity consulting experience and is widely viewed as an expert in the field as evidenced by numerous cybersecurity related publications and serving as a frequent speaker on cybersecurity topics.
Throughout his career, Matt has held several managerial and executive positions for leading IT and information security consulting firms in the Washington, DC area. In 2000, Matt was a co-founder and Vice President for Knowledge Consulting Group (later acquired by ManTech International), where he managed and delivered cybersecurity services to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Matt was responsible for the development and maintenance of KCG’s entire portfolio of cybersecurity service offerings and was the managing executive for the company’s largest operational unit. At ManTech, Matt served as the Division Manager for ManTech’s Cyber Security Solutions Division responsible for overseeing a $150M defensive cyber portfolio supporting federal civilian, the Intelligence Community, DOD and private sector clients. Matt has supported the DHS CDM program since its inception and was responsible for capturing and executing over $130M in CDM related business.
Matt holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Security and a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University. He also holds several industry standard security certifications including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
Matt lives in Potomac, MD with his three children. In his spare time, Matt enjoys coaching his kids sporting endeavors, playing golf, tennis, cycling, and spending as much time on the water as possible.
Co-Founder and President
Scott is the co-founder and President for ShorePoint and is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operational activities. Scott brings over 20 years of experience in the IT and cybersecurity markets to include business development, capture, and program delivery and execution.
In 2000, Scott was a co-founder and Vice President for Knowledge Consulting Group (later acquired by ManTech International), where he successfully developed and led cybersecurity efforts in both public and private sectors. At ManTech, Scott served as the Vice President for Civilian Programs, overseeing a cyber portfolio of over $50M for federal civilian agencies.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and hold several industry standard certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
Scott lives in Gainesville, VA with his wife and 3 active children. When he’s not chasing his kids around from one sporting event to the other, he enjoys golf, water skiing, snow skiing and spending time with friends and family.
Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Rob is a former Senior Executive with the Department of Homeland Security where he most recently held the position of Deputy CTO and Executive Director for Strategic Technology Management. Rob is well respected in both the technology and security communities often sought out to share his thoughts on a wide variety of topics. His broad and varying experience provides a unique perspective on the challenges facing the delivery and security of IT services. In his role as the ShorePoint CTO, Rob is responsible for exploring and understanding the latest methodologies, concepts and capabilities that align with the objectives of both ShorePoint and our customers. Additionally, Rob believes in developing partnerships and driving the increased maturity of both the Federal and commercial security posture one conversation at a time.
Over his 17 years of experience in Information Technology, Rob has supported the private sector, DoD and DHS in the areas of security program design and operations, incident response, enterprise business application services development and maintenance, mobile and cloud strategies, as well as modern technology exploration, adoption and transformation.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Salisbury University and a Masters Certificate in Program and Project Management from George Washington University.
Rob lives in Frederick, MD with his wife and two sons. With two high school age multi-sport athletes, balance is important. When there’s time, Rob enjoys golf, basketball, flag football or simply relaxing on or near a body of water.link
Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Ryan brings over 20 years of IT and cybersecurity solution experience and a strong background in a broad variety of security enabling technologies and tools in the ever-evolving cyber marketplace. McCullough most recently served as Senior Vice President at Govplace having developed and evolved that organization’s Federal strategy since 2007. As a leader through that company’s aggressive growth trajectory, Ryan held positions that included oversight and leadership for everything from sales, business development and capture, to engineering, program management and service delivery. Through his tenure, Ryan has led a variety of successful strategic efforts in support of multiple federal agencies resulting in delivery of over $1B in IT products and services as well as contract awards totaling more than $70B in value. Prior to Govplace, Ryan spent 10 years at GTSI (now Unicom) where he supported several agencies through the development and positioning of programs and solutions to achieve defined business and operational objectives.
Ryan is a recipient of the prestigious Rising Star Award (2009) presented by 1105 Media which honors men and women who have made an early and substantive mark on the government IT world. The award recognized his success in driving innovation in solution delivery to enable positive business outcomes for government customers through performance based engagement. He is a graduate of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) Voyagers Program for leadership development and industry/government collaboration. He is active in numerous industry associations such as ACT-IAC and served on partner advisory councils of major manufacturers such as Dell/EMC, Forescout, HP, and others.
Ryan graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree specializing in Government and Politics. Ryan currently resides in Ashburn, VA with his wife Katie and their 2 children. Ryan is deeply committed to coaching his children and supporting youth sports and athletics in general. Ryan also recently joined the Board of Directors for Dulles Little League. When not working… Ryan can generally be found competing… at something… anything. Beyond family and work, he has passions for baseball (coaching/watching/playing), college sports (Go Terps), travel and food (cooking… but mostly eating). He also enjoys skiing, boating and helping colleagues and friends to create truly memorable… and sometimes unbelievable… stories.
Vice President, Finance & Administration
Sherrie brings over 20 years of experience to the management and administration of ShorePoint operations, including accounting and finance, human resources, security, contracts, proposals, and facilities management. She held a similar role at Knowledge Consulting Group from 2004 to 2015, when the company was acquired by ManTech International.
Sherrie graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, and from Shepherd College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications. She also holds the Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification from the National Classification Management Society (NCMS).
Sherrie currently resides in Purcellville, VA, with her husband Ron, their two sons, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle. Her free time is spent cheering on her beloved Washington Capitals and the Dallas Cowboys.
Director, Recruiting & Retention
John is a staffing and recruiting professional with 13 years of experience. He began his career in the engineering division at Aerotek, a global staffing agency, where he focused on system, hardware, software and cybersecurity engineers.
John later served as a staffing consultant for private and public sector customers, transitioning later to in-house recruiting for government-focused systems integrators, and staffing multiple programs for intelligence and national security organizations.
John lives in the Northern Virginia area with his wife and children, and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid fan of DC’s professional sports teams.
