We are seeking a Privacy Lead who has experience developing and overseeing privacy compliance programs and privacy program staff, supporting privacy compliance, governance/policy, and incident response needs of privacy and security teams in the federal market. Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for the planning, design, enforcement of security policies and procedures of enterprise systems and data elements. Identify and advise on critical issues and security objectives.

 

Required Skills

  • Expertise in cybersecurity and privacy principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data
  • Expertise in cybersecurity and privacy principles and requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation)
  • Expert knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology (IT) security assessment, monitoring, detection, and remediation tools and procedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilities
  • Expertise with risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy
  • Expertise in cybersecurity and privacy principles
  • Expert knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses
  • Expert knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery continuity of operations plans
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise information security architecture
  • Expert knowledge of evaluation and validation requirements
  • Expert knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
  • Expert knowledge of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data security standards
  • Expert knowledge of laws, policies, procedures, or governance relevant to cybersecurity for critical infrastructures
  • Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies
  • Knowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption)
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and access control methods
  • Knowledge of applicable business processes and operations of customer organizations
  • Knowledge of application vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of cyber defense and vulnerability assessment tools and their capabilities
  • Knowledge of systems diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques
  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure systems with information communication technology that were designed without system security considerations
  • Expertise in discerning the protection needs (i.e., security controls) of information systems and networks
  • Expertise in target network anomaly identification (e.g., intrusions, dataflow or processing, target implementation of new technologies)
  • Expertise to extract information from available tools and applications associated with collection requirements and collection operations management

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or additional four years of experience)

Years of Experience Requirement

  • 8-10 years of experience in Privacy, Policy, and Data Governs

Certification Requirement

  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) preferred
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional/Government (CIPP/G) preferred
