We are seeking Palo Alto Networks EndPoint Cyber Security Engineers who have a desire to expand their technical depth to include technologies such as ForeScout, Splunk and others that are critical to enhancing the cyber posture of organizations with highly sensitive and critical data. The right candidate will have a desire to become a versatile cyber security solutions architect that can provide design, deployment and operational professional services to critical customers. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and off-site Palo Alto Networks EndPoint Cyber Security professional services to customers including: product deployment, configuration, operation and optimization
  • Participate in business development activities to help build and grow the ShorePoint professional services capability to include technical proposal writing and sales calls

Required Skills

  • Palo Alto Networks Cyber Security (or similar application/endpoint security) experience
  • 3+ years of technical professional services experience Solid understanding of web applications, web protocols, security, and Internet environments
  • Advanced knowledge of web threats
  • Experience with common enterprise desktop software deployment methodologies
  • Experience installing, configuring and integrating a complex security environment
  • Experience understanding malware, exploits, operating system structure and behavior
  • Experience with systems installation, configuration and administration of EndPoint routers/switches, UNIX/Linux and Windows-based systems (prior Active Directory/LDAP experience desirable)
  • Experience that emphasizes L2-L4 Networking (L2 Switching architectures including Spanning Tree, IP routing including OSPF and BGP, L4 load balancing)
  • Knowledge of security standards, procedures and technologies
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications, including presentation skills for audiences of varying levels of technical understanding – strong customer orientation
  • Self-driven with an aptitude to learn new technologies
  • Ability to create success with minimal oversight and management

Desired Skills

  • Network administrator experience and network security experience
  • Experience working in federal environments

Location/Travel

  • Rockville, MD
  • Willingness to travel as needed is desired (low frequency)

Security Clearance

  • Clearable preferred but not required (ability to obtain clearance is strongly desired)
