We are seeking a Configuration Management Analyst who have experience contributing innovative solutions and consulting with many different federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs in the federal market. Roles and Responsibilities

The Configuration Management Analyst will perform all key functions for the facilitation, definition, execution, documentation and reporting of all configuration management practices both internally and in coordination with government agencies. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Maintain the configuration management processes and procedures within the Change Management Plan to support both internal and external configuration management activities
    • Engage internal and external stakeholders throughout the configuration management process to ensure comprehensive communications related to upcoming changes
    • Provide support in Configuration Planning, Identification, Configuration Baseline Control and Configuration Auditing activities
    • Review/manage changes for internal lab environments, manage changes throughout configuration items (CIs) lifecycle
    • Administer/maintain data repository (CMDB) to support program needs and ensure integrity/operational performance of CMDB
    • Create/manage program CI baselines & prepare/inspect Agency baseline packages on monthly basis
    • Assist the Configuration Management Lead with tracking, logging, categorizing and maintaining configuration changes made against established baselines
    • Record changes in configuration management database for compliance with industry standards as well as contractual and internal requirements
    • Generate and evaluate Configuration Management metrics
    • Support creation of contract deliverables and configuration management project artifacts
    • Support training efforts as required – provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs

Required Skills

  • Experience with ITSM tools (i.e. ServiceNow, Atlassian Tool Suite)
  • Experience working with the federal government agency
  • Knowledge of IT systems management, especially Systems Engineering Life Cycles (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and AGILE development methodologies as well as ITIL/ITSM experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customer, technical, and management personnel
  • Must possess a self-starter mentality and be an effective problem-solver
  • Ability to work as part of a team and work independently
  • Exceptional organizational & multi-tasking skills
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (including MS Office suite, Visio, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with ServiceNow or Jira
  • Experience with relational database
  • Experience with scripting language
  • Experience with change management and CCB process

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Years of Experience Requirement

  • 7+ years demonstrated configuration management & asset management related experience

Certification Requirement

  • ITIL certification a plus

  • Current DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) and other civilian Agency clearances
  • Active Top Secret clearance preferred
