We are seeking a Configuration Analyst who has experience implementing and managing configuration management programs for enterprise projects within the federal market. The Configuration Analyst is responsible for developing the process for tracking configuration settings across the Development, Test, and Production environments. They will work closely with change managers, technical personnel, project schedulers, project managers, quality analysts, and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate change requests and document updated configuration settings across each environment. The candidate will be responsible for documenting the configuration status across each environment and be inserted into the change management process regarding the timing of the change. They will also support change review meetings with both internal and external stakeholders and review supporting information for all change requests. 

Roles and Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain the overall configuration management process for DEFEND E
    • Work closely with project managers and technical personnel to review change requests and provide appropriate documentation requirements for change request submissions
    • Identify repository for maintaining configuration items and configuration status of all technologies across each environment
    • Document configuration management strategies and assess overall impact of change requests on the environment
    • Attend change management meetings with appropriate stakeholders
    • Provide configuration status reporting and support contract deliverables
    • Adhere to security best practices and comply with government standards
    • Analyze mission requirements and make recommendations
    • Communicate and present recommendations to senior engineers or managers in written and oral format

Required Skills

    • Prior experience, preferably 2+ years with configuration management
    • Experience balancing the demands of multiple clients simultaneously
    • Exceptional customer focus and bias for action
    • Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-moving environment

Desired Skills

    • Prior CDM experience preferred, but not required

Education Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Years of Experience Requirement

    • 4 years of overall IT or Cyber experience

Security Clearance

    • Candidate will be required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
